What's New for 2024?
- Drivers and Constructors Championship 2024 Season Starts June 9th!
- There will be 4 races with 1 throwout
- 35 Points awarded for the WIN, with descending numbers incrementally by 1
- There will be a Drivers Championship as well as a Constructors Championship, with both drivers’ points combined.
- It is permissible to compete as “Independent” for the Drivers Championship only
- RCFIA mandates that for the Constructors Championship, (2) Drivers make a Team (Only 1 Expert-level allowed per team)
- This is a Pro/Am series with the intent of mentoring
- NEW!!!! Knock Out Qualifying – Staggered starts for both Rounds of Qualifying
- At the conclusion of Round 2 of Qualifying, the TOP 10 cars will be broken out to compete for the FASTEST single lap
- In the event of a tie, the tie-breaker will go to the driver that set it first – Spain 1997
- At the conclusion of Round 2 of Qualifying, the TOP 10 cars will be broken out to compete for the FASTEST single lap
- Practice – there will be FP1 and FP2
- Each Free Practice session will be 15-minutes of Formula 1 only
- RCFIA Spec Tires required for 2024 – Team Powers Soft/Medium/Hard
- Please Note:
- Round 2 – Grand Prix of Ripon on July 13 will be a NIGHT race
- Round 4 – Grand Prix of Fresno on Sept 8 is the FIRST round of the Secret RCFIA Circuit
